Dispatcher - Ford Parts Wholesale Delivery

Core Purpose The dispatcher coordinates and controls the flow of wholesale parts orders from the dealership to body shops, independent repair facilities, fleets, and other wholesale customers. They ensure parts are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. Key ResponsibilitiesOrder CoordinationReview incoming wholesale parts orders, verify availability, and prioritize based on urgency, customer type, and delivery routes. Route PlanningAssign delivery routes to drivers, optimize stops, and adjust plans based on traffic, weather, or urgent add-on orders. Communication HubAct as the central point between:Parts counter staff Wholesale customers Delivery drivers Inventory/warehouse teamDriver SupportProvide instructions, handle issues on the road, and ensure drivers have correct paperwork and parts. Problem SolvingAddress missing parts, backorders, incorrect deliveries, or customer complaints quickly and professionally. Inventory AwarenessWork closely with the parts manager to understand stock levels, incoming shipments, and substitutions. Documentation & SystemsUse dealership DMS systems (CDK, and automated dispatch system Elite Extra) to track orders, print invoices, and log deliveries. Customer ServiceMaintain strong relationships with wholesale accounts by ensuring reliability and responsiveness. Skills That Make a Dispatcher EffectiveStrong multitasking and prioritization Clear communication Route optimization and basic logistics knowledge Familiarity with automotive parts terminology Ability to stay calm under pressure Problem-solving mindset Comfort with dealership management systems Good relationship-building with drivers and customersQualificationsBilingual in Spanish and English Very tech savvy to operate the automated dispatch system.
