You will receive a 15% shift differential for working on the night shift.\nJob Description:\nThe Assembler is responsible for the precision assembly of complex electronic and electro‑mechanical systems. This role requires advanced competency in assembling extremely small, fragile, and high‑tolerance components using microscopes, specialized fixtures, and detailed work instructions. Sr Assemblers work from schematics, diagrams, Bills of Material, and written or verbal instructions to produce high‑quality microscopic components for electronic test products. The role demands strong dexterity, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to derive and validate component tolerances, and the capability to thrive in a fast‑paced production environment. As an expert assembler, this role also provides training, leadership, and process‑improvement contributions within the assembly team.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperate laser‑cutting equipment per documented procedures to cut and extract polymer membranes and components for assembly or engineering evaluation.\nAssemble polymer membranes onto electronic probe components, including membrane attachment, clamping into proprietary fixtures, UV curing, and managing cure times.\nPerform mechanical attachment of miniature, mixed‑material components using screw fasteners, adhesives, and precision alignment tools.\nPerform all technical duties of an Assembly Technician II when required.\nPrioritize assembly tasks to maximize throughput based on build requirements, cure times, and production due dates.\nRead, interpret, and follow assembly documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, diagrams, and written work instructions.\nPerform simple mathematical calculations, including tolerance stack‑ups, to evaluate component fit and performance.\nAssemble microscopic parts and components using specialized jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and microscopes.\nSet up and perform testing to validate build specifications and confirm assembly accuracy.\nCollect, organize, and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to monitor and improve process stability and yield.\nSet up and operate specialized assembly and curing equipment in accordance with documented procedures.\nSafely handle chemicals—including adhesives and solvents—while following all safety rules, PPE requirements, and material‑handling practices.\nWork Environment:\nWorks with chemicals while wearing ESD‑safe protective equipment, including smock, hair covering, gloves, safety glasses, and other required PPE.\nWorks at a microscope for extended periods, up to 80% of a shift, depending on station assignment.\nAble to read and follow detailed work instructions and complete both written and electronic documentation.\nCapable of pushing and pulling 10–15 lbs.\nPerforms routine lifting of materials weighing approximately 6 lbs.\nSkills:\nAssembly Line, Assembly Manufacturing, Assembly Operations, Assembly Processes, Assembly Tools, Assembly Work, Electrical Soldering, Manufacturing, PCB Soldering, Product Assembly, Semiconductor Assembly, SMT Soldering, Soldering\nEducation & Experience:\nMinimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience | Required\nPay Range:\n$18.80 - $24.68\nPay Range Explained:\nThis role in Beaverton, Oregon pays between $18.80 and $24.68 per hour, depending on your experience, skills, and background.
