Senior Buyer
Senior Buyer A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage purchasing, supplier performance, inventory support, and material planning for a production driven operation. This role will focus on MRP execution, supplier negotiations, sourcing, inventory accuracy, and purchasing support for new programs, tooling, and production needs. The ideal candidate will bring hands on purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, strong supplier follow up, and the ability to manage cost, delivery, and quality expectations with urgency and accuracy. Senior Buyer Responsibilities Run daily MRP and purchasing activity in support of production schedules Purchase materials, outside processing, components, molds, and tooling for active and new programs Manage suppliers to ensure on time delivery, consistent quality, and competitive pricing Negotiate vendor pricing, delivery, and terms based on budget and schedule requirements Source and qualify new suppliers to support production and engineering needs Expedite delayed orders and resolve issues related to returns, replacements, and inventory availability Manage inventory levels, safety stock, cycle counts, and part maintenance updates Support aging inventory review, customer chargebacks, supplier certificates, and USMCA documentation Senior Buyer Qualifications 5 plus years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment Automotive industry experience preferred Strong ERP and MRP knowledge Experience with supplier negotiations, sourcing, procurement, and vendor management Understanding of raw materials, resin, tooling, molds, or production components preferred Strong Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, Gmail, and Drive skills Strong communication, math, organization, and time management skills High school diploma required; APICS, PMP, associate degree, bachelor's degree, business, or mechanical engineering background preferred Senior Buyer Benefits Full time opportunity Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $75,000 based on experience Stable manufacturing environment Direct impact on production, supplier performance, and inventory accuracy Opportunity to support new programs, tooling, sourcing, and purchasing process improvement
