HM will be interviewing and seeking to have applicants start ASAP\nLocation: 2405 South St , Long Beach , CA, 90805\nShift: M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm\nOccasionally Saturdays 5:00am - 1:30pm\nThe Chemical Operator/Batchmaker role is responsible for adding the indicated raw materials to a mixer following a batch instruction sheet with special attention to quality, follows established standard operating procedures with attention to safety rules and company policies.\nKey Responsibilities\nFollows daily scheduled activities as indicated by supervisor.\nAbility to handle chemicals in a safe manner.\nBatching/weighing/sampling material.\nBlend and weigh ingredients to the specifications of the SOP.\nFollows standard operating procedures, company policies and safety regulations.\nAssists in maintaining good housekeeping in work area and throughout the facility.\nResponsible for the daily upkeep of work area and any equipment included in it.\nPromptly reports any problems or out of the ordinary situations to supervisor.\nMaintain schedule efficiency to meet production demand.\nMaintains close communication with supervisor and QC technician during the batch process.\nResponsible for reporting and/or recording inventory movements resulting from each batch onto a batch sheet.\nPerforms periodic sampling for quality control.\nFollows direction from supervisor and/or QC technician to ensure product meets established quality control standards.\nMay be required to assist in general labor tasks as needed and indicated by supervisor.\nMay be required to assist in the training of new personnel on the safe operation of mixing equipment.\nMust have good attendance record and be on time.\nThe above listing of primary functions is not to be considered an all-inclusive list of duties.\nExperience and Skills Required\nAbility to comprehend and abide by relevant policies/procedures pertinent to safety, quality, security, and operations.\nStrong Attention to detail.\nForklift experience a plus.\nAbility to Multi-task and watch multiple processes at the same time.\nExperience reading and working with SOPs a plus.\nHave experience working with chemicals and/or light chemical manufacturing is preferred.\nHave basic math skills and be able to apply them in a work environment.\nAbility to be flexible and adaptable, and change priorities and direction as needed.\nMust have a positive attitude towards work and can work well as a member of a team\nAfter receiving training, employee must be able to show understanding and competency on safety rules and regulations by written or verbal examination.\nAbility to understand and follow posted signage throughout the facility.\nClear understanding of lock-out, tag-out procedures.\nMust be familiar with the standard operating procedure and operator manual for the safe operation of the equipment.\nClear understanding of Hazard communication policies.\nRequired to have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20.\nEmployee must be able to hear and speak.\nEmployee must have full range of motion to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop or kneel.\nEmployee must be able to complete repetitive strenuous work under varying climate conditions.\nEmployee must be able to safely lift up to 70 Lbs.\nEmployee must be able to stand for extended periods.\nMust be able to work in a plant environment with varying levels of temperature and physical requirements\nPay: $20.00 -
