About the CompanyOur client is a well-established international manufacturer and supplier of premium architectural and interior finishing products, with a strong global presence, advanced production capabilities, and a reputation for design excellence.Position OverviewThe Sales Director will be responsible for accelerating sales growth, strengthening the commercial network, developing new business opportunities, and increasing the company’s presence within the U.S. architecture, design, and construction sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Growth & Market Development: Develop and execute a clear commercial plan for the U.S. market, with specific focus on revenue growth, margin protection, customer acquisition and market share expansion.Business Development: Develop relationships with customers and decision makers who already operate in the surfaces, mosaic, tile, stone, slab, luxury interiors and architectural finishes sectors. Distribution & Channel Management: Evaluate, strengthen and the Company in U.S. distribution and showroom network, Identify underperforming accounts, high-potential accounts and new strategic partners, Develop structured commercial programs for distributors and showrooms.A&D Engagement: Build a strong presence with architects, designers and specification firms, Develop a systematic approach to A&D outreach, including presentations, lunch-and-learns, project meetings, sample follow-up and specification tracking. Leadership & Team Development: Lead, manage and develop the U.S. sales organization, Set clear targets for each sales person, territory and channel. The candidate must be able to build a culture of accountability, speed and measurable performance. Commercial Execution: The Sales Director must be very tactical and hands-on (identifying real opportunities; visiting customers, closing deals, supporting the sales team in the field; solving commercial problems; removing obstacles; following up personally on important accounts and projects.Required Experience8+ years of successful sales leadership experience within the U.S. market, experience in architectural materials, interior finishes, building products or related industries, and proven success in revenue growth and account development. Strong network within distributors, showrooms, architects, interior designers, developers, and contractors.Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, developing new business, and expanding key accounts.Experience managing sales teams and/or independent sales representatives.Solid understanding of specification-driven and project-based sales processes.Ability to develop both distribution channels and direct project opportunities.Experience representing premium, luxury, or design-oriented products.Strong negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills.Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada.Preferred BackgroundArchitectural products, decorative surfaces, interior finishes, luxury residential construction, hospitality design, commercial interiors, building materials, and specification sales.Candidate ProfileEntrepreneurial, commercially driven, disciplined, relationship-focused, strategic yet hands-on, and capable of leading growth initiatives.CompensationCompetitive base salary, performance incentives, bonus opportunities, travel expenses, and benefits package.Confidential Search StatementThis is a confidential executive search being conducted on behalf of an established international manufacturer within the architectural and design materials industry.
