Sr. Data Scientist (TS/SCI)

BDR is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing team! This position will be performed onsite in Washington DC or Reston, VA working on EST time schedule. This position requires US Citizenship with an active Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility. (Military Veterans are highly encouraged to apply) Role Overview: BDR is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing team! This position will provide research, development, enhancement, and sustainment support to modernize defense intelligence collection platforms by evaluating, optimizing, and integrating current and future efforts, identifying critical gaps and requirements, applying new and advanced methods, and advancing enterprise governance. Responsibilities: Conducts data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis. Uses scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products to enable more informed analytic decisions. Proactively retrieves information from various sources and analyzes the data for better understanding about the data set. Based on this understanding of the data set, builds AI tools that automate certain processes. Creates various ML-based tools or processes, such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems. Performs statistical analysis, applies data mining techniques, and builds high-quality prediction systems. Independently works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program. Oversees efforts of junior staff and responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or other related discipline. TS/SCI clearance. 10+ years of demonstrated experience architecting solutions based on customer requirements with an understanding of programming and data engineering concepts. 10+ years of demonstrated experience with data visualization and use of graphical applications, including Microsoft Office (Power BI) and Tableau. 10+ years of demonstrated experience with major data science languages such as R, Python, and SQL. 10+ years of demonstrated experience managing and merging disparate data sources leveraging expertise in data exploration, engineering, and ETL to explore, architect, develop, and deploy solutions for structured and unstructured data into usable data formats to improve decision-making and analysis. 10+ years of demonstrated experience with large data Multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics. Desired Skills and Qualifications: 10+ years working in an intelligence agency environment. Proficiency in business management to facilitate the implementation of innovative solutions and application of design thinking, disruptive innovation, benchmarking, and other related methodologies and best practices. Experience leveraging performance management, strategic planning, research and analysis, change management, and behavioral science theories, principles, and practices. In addition, U.S Citizenship is required.
