This is a full-time position with competitive pay and excellent benefit package.General Description:Our mechanics maintain and service the mechanical equipment, machinery, and all components. They must be able to perform skilled repair services of mechanical, electrical, and equipment. The Electrician/Mechanic Level 4 has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job including repairing conveyor belts, motors, and other factory equipment. This position will also be our primary Electrician for the plant with assistance from outside vendors.Duties and Responsibilities:Observe and diagnose equipment for repairDisassemble factory machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairsConduct daily rounds and inspections to evaluate requests for repairMay completes boiler water testingConducts daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance and service on factory equipment.Follows instruction from manager/supervisorFollow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wearReassemble after completion of inspectionRepair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipmentOperate newly repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairsThoroughly cleans, lubricates, and adjust parts, equipment and machineryOils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performanceAbility to record maintenance repairs performedWorks independently within established proceduresAbility to meet strict deadlines.Promotes and works within established safety, quality, and food safety procedures.Job Qualifications:Must be 18 years or olderWorks well independently and with othersRI Electrician's License or ability to obtain RI Electrician's license within 90 days.3+ years' experience as a maintenance mechanicReading comprehension, mathematics, and writingGood oral and written communication skillsOrganized with attention to detailMust be competent in the following skills: conveyor belts, hydraulics, welding and fabrication.
