Engages participants in an in-depth goal setting and monitoring process.\nDevelops monthly and annual goals and strategies, monitor progress, and reports on outcomes.\nCoordinates functions of the program including budget, contracts, and participant needs.\nJob Duties\nMeets regularly with participants to implement individualized plans to achieve short and long-term goals.\nTracks the activity of participants according to program and grant needs.\nServes as professional mentor, coach, and advocate for both participants and program staff.\nEmpowers participants to inform program design and model to ensure youth voice in services.\nCollaborates with WorkSource Portland Metro to engage participants in services and provide participants with accessto workforce development resources.\nEnsures documentation of all participant interactions, progress, participation, and data in workforce developmentspecificdatabase system daily.\nMaintains detailed, organized, and updated files (paper and digital), in compliance with local and federal governmentcontractors.\nPrepares for quarterly program and file audits.\nDevelops unique intervention strategies to engage and inspire youth and families.\nWorks collaboratively in a multicultural environment with people from diverse backgrounds.\nKeeps meticulous case notes to reflect all services provided, employment and education placement, training milestones, credits earned, skills gained, and other accomplishments.\nTracks and reports on participant outcomes based on various contracts.\nPlans and facilitates lessons on work readiness, employment and life skills, and career exploration and pathways.\nDevelops culturally responsive, innovative, and engaging curriculum designed to build employability and life skills of participants.\nResearches promising practices of youth engagement, workforce training, and approaches to alleviating poverty in low income communities to ensure program model is dynamic and responsive to participant needs.\nLeads the organization and programming of the assigned WOT Center to best reach pre-apprenticeship programparticipants, NextGen participants, and RAHS student/school needs.\nDevelops monthly calendar for pre-apprenticeship youth and WOT Center focused on program activities and skill development.\nRepresents POIC at funder meetings and community events.\nEnsures compliance with contracts and support team members in understanding and implementing terms of contracts.\nCollaborates with Work Opportunities Training (WOT) team and other POIC departments to deliver services across program sites.\nOffers transition support for RAHS seniors working towards graduation.\nSupports RAHS staff in efforts to prepare students for success in post-secondary endeavors.\nDevelops and builds relationships with local businesses and employers, education and training providers, and other community-based agencies to enhance services and opportunities for participants.\nParticipates in ongoing professional development related to our organizational expectations centered on personal growth, leadership, and accountability.\nMaintains professional and respectful demeanor when working in stressful conditions and reaches out for help when needed.\nOrganizes time efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and achieve outcomes while managing diverse and\npersistent client demands.\nMaintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.\nWorks collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.\nRespectfully takes direction from manager.\nSay maintain an active caseload of participants.\nOther duties as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nDirectly supervises Career Coaches and other staff/volunteers at the assigned WOT Center. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nQualifications\nAbility to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others. Familiarity with trauma informed practice and strength-based approaches to working with participants preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research.
