Operations Associate - Dividends
Summary
The Dividends Operations Associate will work with all levels of employees to solve operational issues. Will work under limited supervision and with experience and knowledge of procedures to process a greater variety of complex transactions. Will be responsible for non-routine activities/transactions by drawing on multiple information sources and understanding multiple effects of a transaction. Will review escalated issues and work on problems of a moderate scope and apply judgment within defined practices to determine appropriate action. Will interface with the custodians and brokers to resolve day to day issues and ensure efficient settlement of dividend/interest activity and other transactions. Will provide back up to all Dividend department team members as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Receives assignment of work and processes in a timely manner, in accordance with departmental policy procedures.
Processes, creates and enters data into the department systems for FA’s.
Adds historical performance data upon request.
Reconciles data from systems or from account statements.
Assists with review of accounts held on various systems.
Qualifications
Ability to learn general understanding of rules/regulations and Stifel policies that pertain to the department.
Initiative and self-direction when performing tasks with ability to organize and prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines.
Able to handle large workload that varies based on projects and heavy volume periods.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1+ years' professional business related experience required.
Systems & Technology
Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office products.
