{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b0b81fb33a59b5b9ba55e0be","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b0b81fb33a59b5b9ba55e0be","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b0b81fb33a59b5b9ba55e0be","title":"System Developer/Engineer","description":"Overview\r\nHighlight Technologies is seeking a System Developer to provide technical support to a 24x7x365 center for the Small Business Administration (SBA) IT service center.\r\nThis position is hybrid, employees must be local to Washington DC area.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nParticipate in the architecture and design of new and existing systems.\r\nDevelop and maintain system and software documentation, including system requirements, design documents, and user manuals.\r\nMonitor and troubleshoot system and software environments, identifying and resolving technical issues as required.\r\nIntegrate systems using programming, automation scripts, APIs, and runbooks.\r\nDevelop automation scripts using Bash, Python, and PowerShell for reporting and task automation.\r\nDesign, develop, and maintain ServiceNow platform components, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, automation, and dashboards.\r\nDesign Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and implement high quality telemetry (metrics, logs, traces) to support accurate SLO calculations.\r\nBuild dashboards, alerts, and automated reporting to track SLA/SLO compliance and error budgets.\r\nAdminister Microsoft Entra identity services and maintain secure access controls and directory configuration.\r\nDesign and manage Microsoft Entra Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies.\r\nConfigure and optimize Microsoft Intune Conditional Access policies to enforce secure access to enterprise resources.\r\nDevelop and enforce compliance policies to ensure secure, standards-aligned system operation.\r\nNavigate and utilize the ServiceNow ITSM tool for incident, request, change, and project management.\r\nMaintain knowledge of cloud service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).\r\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum development processes.\r\nMaintain knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including testing, release management, and deployment processes.\r\nQualifications\r\nMinimum of 5 Years of Experience\r\nSystems engineering.\r\nScripting in Bash, Python, and PowerShell.\r\nWindows native API work, API integrations, runbooks, and automated system integration.\r\nWorking with commercial, open source, and cloud solutions (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).\r\nMicrosoft Entra administration.\r\nManaging enterprise compliance policies.\r\nAdditional Experience\r\nServiceNow development: custom apps, workflows, integrations, automation, and scripting (JavaScript, Glide, API development).\r\nOptional Experience\r\nZscaler cloud security platforms (ZIA/ZPA).\r\nSolarWinds, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring platforms.\r\nOther Requirements\r\n4+ years contributing to system architecture and design (patterns, reliability, scalability).\r\n4+ years monitoring and troubleshooting systems and software environments.\r\nExperience with Microsoft Entra Purview DLP and RBAC policies.\r\nExperience with Microsoft Intune configuration policies.\r\nAdditional Qualifications\r\nEligible for Public Trust suitability.\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.\r\nITIL v3/v4 certification preferred.\r\nExcellent communication skills.\r\nAbout Highlight\r\nFor over ten years, Highlight has provided Development and Modernization, Secure IT, and Mission Solution services to our federal government customers.
