Located in the Northern California foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range at a new, state-of-the-art 65,000 sq. ft. facility, start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics.Job SummaryThe Collections Coordinator ensures that the assigned customer base is paying within invoice due dates.Essential FunctionsProactively research billing issues and work with appropriate business partners to resolve themRecognize repeated billing issues and take proactive steps to identify the root causeFollow all processes for invoicing and collecting invoiced amountsIncrease cash flow and reduce bad debt for assigned customer baseContact customers on past due transactions, make arrangements for payments to bring account current and follow up to ensure obligations are satisfiedCollect, manage and provide resolution of outstanding invoices from past due accounts to ensure the appropriate aging targets are metWork customer deductions to ensure units and claims are being processed timely according to Crane Aerospace & Electronics policiesResearch and analyze accounts prior to initiating contact; Reviews payment history and evaluate past collection effortsRelease credit holds as applicable on sales orders in assigned customer base after reviewing customer worthiness and past payment historyWork with sales and customer service to resolve invoice to purchase order discrepancies delaying payment and record a call note in OracleMaintain effective working relationships with all levels of management to ensure customer disputes are resolved and handled appropriately while at the same time maintaining customer relationsMake late stage collection calls and attempts to resolve prior to placementPerform other special projects and duties as assignedAny other task assigned by supervisor or managementMinimum QualificationsExperience: 2-5 years accounts receivable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge: Knowledge of the purchase order to cash processSkills/Abilities: Proficient in Windows Office with an emphasis in ExcelEducation/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered.
