Patient Account Representative - Medical BillingOur Medical Billing department is looking for a Patient Account Representative to join the team. A Patient Account Representative will take care of patients calls inquiring about their medical bill. The patient account representative assists patients with anything that has to do with the submitting and/or payment of claims. Even though medical billing experience it's preferred, entry level candidates with medical customer service background are welcome to apply!Location: TaylorsvilleSchedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 - 5:00pmPay: $16.00-19.50/hour DOEKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExcellent customer service, communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills.Typing / key-boarding skillsMust be a team player and enjoy working with people.Must be able to read, understand and communicate in English.Be able to read Explanation of Benefits and understand coinsurance, copays, and deductiblesEssential Functions And DutiesGreet patients presenting for medical or other services in a courteous manner.Answer telephones in a professional manner.Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with physicians, clinic staff and patients regarding their billing questions.Follow up with denial reps and medical coders to have claim reviewed and rebilledOther duties as assigned.Education And ExperienceHigh School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.1- 2 year of Medical Receptionist or Patient Account Representative experience preferred1-year Billing or Coding experience preferredRecent medical customer service experienceBilingual is a plusGranger Medical Clinic offers competitive wages and excellent benefits.
