{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b07b4c61c6e0ea9a7b0dcd55","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b07b4c61c6e0ea9a7b0dcd55","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b07b4c61c6e0ea9a7b0dcd55","title":"Machine Builder","description":"*Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Assembly & Integration*\n\n* Assemble custom automation equipment, including assembly lines and test systems, based on engineering drawings and specifications\n* Integrate mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components into complete machine systems\n* Install, align, and fit machine components to ensure proper operation, precision, and reliability\n* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments during assembly\n\n*Blueprint & Technical Interpretation*\n\n* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation\n* Follow build instructions while ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards\n* Identify and escalate discrepancies in drawings or components to Engineering teams\n\n*Testing, Debugging & Commissioning*\n\n* Perform functional testing of components, subassemblies, and completed machines\n* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues during assembly and system startup\n* Diagnose root causes of system malfunctions and implement corrective actions\n* Support machine debug, run-off, and commissioning activities in-house and at customer sites\n\n*Collaboration & Communication*\n\n* Work closely with Engineers, Electricians, and other team members to resolve technical challenges\n* Communicate build progress, issues, and improvement opportunities to supervisors and project teams\n* Interface with customers and vendors as needed during system reviews, builds, and installations\n\n*Continuous Improvement & Quality*\n\n* Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer requirements\n* Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce rework\n* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards\n\n*QualificationsExperience & Education*\n\n* 5+ *years of experience* as a Machine Builder, Automation Assembler, or similar role in a manufacturing or automation environment\n* Experience building *custom machinery, assembly systems, or test equipment* strongly preferred\n* Technical training, apprenticeship, or trade certification is a plus\n\n*Technical Skills*\n\n* Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately\n* Solid mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in:\n* Mechanical assembly and alignment\n* Pneumatic systems (cylinders, valves, tubing)\n* Basic electrical components (sensors, actuators, wiring awareness)\n* Proficiency with standard hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment\n* Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues\n\n*SKILLS & EXPERIENCE*\n\n* Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) as a Machine Builder, Machine Assembler, or similar role in manufacturing equipment\n* Must be able to accurately read and interpret blue prints\n* Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques and tools\n* Strong problem solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues effectively\n* Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment with effective communication skills\n* Excellent problem solving and communication skills\n* Must posses own hand tools\n* Must have valid driver’s license and must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally at 20% or less per calendar year\n* Frequently moves, lifts, transports, positions, and installs equipment and material greater than 20lbs\n\nPay: $25.00 -
