The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in data exploration, data storytelling, and basic data engineering. Our data science team works on research and development for several TiVo products:\r\nSearch and Recommendation (Video/Music Content Recommendation System)\r\nInsight (Data Analytics)\r\nConversation (Voice Entertainment Assistant)\r\nVideo and Music Metadata (Textual, Image, Quantitative)\r\nOn our team you can expect to work with a variety of data sources and customer solutions across the entertainment and product engineering domain. Our mission is to help our customers find, watch, and enjoy their favorite content.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nAnalyze and interpret large, multi-dimensional datasets\r\nWork closely with product engineering and management teams to identify and answer important product questions\r\nCommunicate findings to product managers and engineers\r\nCreate data visualizations that capture core insight from analysis in dashboards and reports\r\nRefine existing data sources for use in downstream applications\r\nLearn to implement best practices for data gathering, and process versioning\r\nRequirements\r\nB.S. in a relevant technical field or demonstrable equivalent\r\nAbility to apply ETL processes for use in R&D projects\r\nComfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources\r\nAbility to translate business requirements into technical requirementsAbility to document processes for technical and non-technical stakeholders\r\nFamiliarity with relational databases - SQL\r\nProficiency with Java and the python data science programming stack\r\nLife @ Xperi\r\nAt Xperi, we value People, Customers, Performance and Innovation.
