In this role, you will perform hands-on coding, testing, and documentation to sustain existing systems and support incremental enhancements, working across a two-server on-premises infrastructure and following secure coding standards required for VHA-hosted applications (FIPS 199 Moderate).\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the development and maintenance of DMC applications under the guidance of senior developers\nPerform hands-on coding, testing, and documentation to sustain existing systems and support incremental enhancements\nDevelop and modify application code using C#, .NET Core MVC, legacy .NET Framework v4.8, JavaScript, and CSS\nMaintain existing user interfaces and business logic\nSupport bug fixes, testing, and validation of new features and releases\nAssist with the maintenance of automated jobs and backend services\nSupport updates to technical documentation and system artifacts\nSupport SQL Server databases, SQL programming, and application-level data access\nParticipate in troubleshooting across the two-server on-premises infrastructure\nFollow secure coding standards required for VHA-hosted applications under FIPS 199 Moderate requirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; no equivalencies accepted\n4+ years of software development experience using .NET Core MVC and C#\nKnowledge of SQL databases and programming\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with Azure DevOps\nEligibility:\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future\nMust be able to obtain and maintain the required federal Public Trust clearance for this role\nCompensation:\nSalary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
