About the Role Honey Mama’s is seeking a Maintenance Engineer who brings a zest for the Natural Foods space and is eager to gain some hands-on mechanical engineering experience. This role is based at our Portland, Oregon MFG facility and will be a combination of both project and task-based assignments. In this role, you will report to the Director of Manufacturing and have a unique opportunity to gain exposure to everything that drives Honey Mama’s daily production. The ideal person for this role is someone that is hungry to learn, excels at problem solving, and can contribute greatly to our goal of growing Honey Mama’s operational efficiency. You will work amongst an exceptional team of seasoned manufacturing staff to assist with tasks to design, solidify, implement and maintain our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities · Assist the MFG Team by executing tasks that support the day-to-day manufacturing operations · Assist in assessing and diagnosing machine constraints to minimize operational downtime · Perform, document, and oversee both preventative and necessary maintenance for all HM equipment · Aid in establishing daily machine monitoring to help quantify operational, machine data · Design, 3D print, and install necessary parts using internal CAD software and 3D printer · Interface with the manufacturing team and support daily, lean manufacturing goals · Document and establish best engineering practices for Honey Mama’s to move forward with Requirements · Strong written and interpersonal communication skills · Demonstrated ability to positively interact with consumers, teammates, and others · Based in-facility in Portland, Oregon · Must have a reliable vehicle or form of transportation · Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment · Flexible and adaptable mindset · Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work · Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks · Detail-oriented with strong reliability, accountability, and follow through Preferred Qualifications · Ability to use Windows OS and interface with Apple OS and Mac computers · Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) · Desire for every day to bring new and different tasks/challenges · Hands on approach with high energy and excitement for work · Impeccable quality of work and commitment to excellence · Can-do attitude with desire to roll up your sleeves and assist a small team with anything that is needed to get the job done!
