Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and versatile professional to join our team for an upcoming contract as a Technical Writer & Documentation Specialist. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing comprehensive documentation and associated repository(ies) throughout the implementation of observability solutions. You will document and disseminate communications for the project, collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and deliver the project-related documentation needs, such as business requirements and technical documents, training materials, best practice and how-to guides, playbooks, meeting notes, and other project-related artifacts as requested. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project coordination skills, a keen eye for process analysis and improvement, and extensive experience in documenting business workflows and technology-based deliverables. Client-facing experience is a must, as you will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with observability platforms like Datadog, Prometheus, or similar tools is advantageous. This role plays a critical role in ensuring that all aspects of the observability implementation are well-documented, aiding in the seamless transition to operational use and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Technical Writing: Produce clear, accurate, concise, and comprehensive project delivery communications and technical documentation, including technical solution requirements, API documentation, training materials, best practices, and process workflows, tailored to diverse audiences with varying levels of technical expertise. Client Engagement: Engage directly with the client to understand their documentation needs, gather feedback, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, client-centric materials. Proactively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks and maintain open lines of communication with all project stakeholders. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional technical teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and internal and external stakeholders to gather information, ensure relevancy, accuracy, and effectiveness in all documentation. Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyze existing processes and workflows, identify areas for improvement, and document approved solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiencies. Requirements: Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in technical writing, with a strong portfolio showing a range of technical documents and client-facing materials. Expertise in documenting business workflows and technology-based deliverables, such as software documentation, user manuals or training materials, and/or API guides. Solid client-facing experience, building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Confluence, MS Office, Jira, MS Teams, and Slack. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver content effectively to diverse audiences, adapting to different audiences and technical levels. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work within large teams and complex organizations and projects. Must be able to pass a drug screen.
