The Corporate Systems team in Charles Schwab’s IT organization is looking for a motivated Software Developer for our Treasury business applications. Working closely with our business partners, you will assist with the enhancement and maintenance of Schwab internal solutions for the Capital Markets and Market Risk business areas.\r\nResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise on critical enhancement and maintenance development endeavors\r\nEngage with variety of staff: BSAs, Product Owners, Developers, QA, Management\r\nBuild and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with team members and stakeholders\r\nAid in delivering technical strategies and solutions, application development, and end-user services.\r\nSolve problems and provide support, taking responsibility to make decisions when appropriate.\r\nTake on diverse set of projects and tasks\r\nCommunicate on a technical and non-technical level to all levels of staff and management.\r\nUnderstand applications from a technical and business perspective.\r\nThrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and lead by example\r\nBe comfortable with ambiguity while seeking clarity\r\nWhat you haveRequired SkillsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related degree, OR related practical experience\r\nPassion for and experience in full stack application development technologies using Java, REST Web Services and JSON/XML.\r\nStrong fundamentals in relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)\r\nExperience in an Agile development environment\r\nExcellent verbal and written communications skills\r\nStrong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, and influencing skills\r\nTeam player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor\r\nAbility to listen and encourage thoughts, opinions and discussions where needed\r\nPreferred SkillsFamiliarity with the Spring toolset, such as Spring Cloud Data Flow, Spring Boot, etc.\r\nCI/CD exposure, including Bitbucket/Bamboo automated build/deploy solutions\r\nExposure to testing methodologies, including unit testing, TDD/BDD, and automation\r\nFamiliarity with test automation tools, such as Cucumber, Specflow, Mabl etc.\r\nExperience with cloud-ready platforms such Pivotal Cloud Foundry, GCP, AWS, or Azure\r\nFamiliarity with the financial services domain or a strong desire to learn about the industry\r\nWhat’s in it for youIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
