Then keep reading - you’ve come to the right place.\n\nRole Description\n\nForm Energy is hiring a Control Panel Designer II to impact development and validation of our groundbreaking battery technology. As part of our BMS Hardware & Electrical System team, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of industrial control panel design — from component selection and schematic development through vendor coordination and high-voltage validation. You will work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to deliver panels that meet the highest safety and compliance standards. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!\n\nRelocation assistance is available.\n\nWhat you'll do:\n\nDesign the control panel panels in compliance with NEC (NFPA 70) and UL 508A standards\n\nDevelop complete control panel schematic, layout and BOM using EPLAN\n\nSelect appropriate control panel components including connectors, wire harnesses, branch circuit protection devices (breakers, fuses), and power conversion devices (drives, transformers, rectifiers)\n\nSelect components rated for 600V AC and 2000V DC high-voltage applications\n\nWork directly with third-party panel vendors to translate design intent into built assemblies.\n\nExecute and oversee high-voltage testing procedures including hipot, insulation resistance, and functional validation\n\nCollaborate with mechanical engineers on panel enclosure selection, thermal management, and physical integration\n\nSupport DFMEA activities for panel-level failure mode identification and risk mitigation\n\nWhat you'll bring:\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with some experience\n\nUnderstanding of panel design SW EPLAN or equivalent\n\nSome experience designing panels to NEC and UL 508A requirements\n\nHands-on experience in testing with high-voltage testing procedures and associated safety protocols\n\nWorking knowledge of branch protection coordination, wire sizing, and power conversion device integration\n\nFamiliarity with the SW including PLM (e.g. Arena or Team Center), product development SW (e.g. JIRA) and requirement management tools (e.g. JAMA)\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment\n\nHumanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy’s culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that.
