CCS is a leading and innovative cost management and project management firm providing services at all project phases from initial conception through design, construction, and occupancy.\nLocation: Oakbrook Terrace, IL.\nResponsibilities Assist Mechanical Cost Managers in the preparation of comprehensive mechanical cost estimates.\nAccurately compile and prepare cost estimating information.\nRead and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.\nRead and interpret building and site utility drawings and specifications.\nDownload mechanical drawings into an On-Screen Take-Off program and enter takeoff items into Sage Timberline or other Excel estimate formats.\nPerform quantity take-offs, market price research, and data analysis to support estimating activities.\nOccasionally download Revit drawings prepared by the design team and extrapolate quantities to Excel workbooks.\nManipulate data and arrange quantities by division for use by mid and senior-level Mechanical Cost Managers.\nCollaborate with team members to ensure estimates reflect project scope and design intent.\nQualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, business, or equivalent work experience.\nAbility to follow comprehensive directions and self-teach software as needed.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on clarity and responsiveness.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to read, interpret, and develop statistical reports and calculations.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work in a team environment.\nKnowledge of mechanical systems and components for fire protection, plumbing, and HVAC building systems.\nKnowledge of project design and interpretation criteria.\nProficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe; comprehensive working knowledge of MS Excel.\nKnowledge of database management/maintenance is a plus.\nKnowledge of Sage Timberline and/or MCACES is a plus.\nSeniority level Entry level\nEmployment type Full-time\nJob function Engineering, Project Management, and Strategy/Planning\nIndustries Architecture and Planning\nConstruction\nEngineering Services\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
