This is an opportunity to work on large-scale government systems that impact millions of users while leveraging modern Java technologies, Angular, cloud platforms, and Agile development practices.\n\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer with experience designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable web applications across both front-end and back-end technologies. This position supports enterprise modernization initiatives and requires collaboration within cross-functional Agile teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and Angular.\n* Build scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.\n* Develop responsive user interfaces utilizing Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.\n* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.\n* Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.\n* Troubleshoot application issues and implement performance improvements.\n* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.\n* Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\n* Support Agile/Scrum development processes and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.\n* Assist in application modernization efforts, including cloud adoption, automation, and DevSecOps best practices.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).\n* Strong experience developing enterprise applications with Java.\n* Experience with Angular (Angular 12+ preferred).\n* Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.\n* Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.\n* Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.\n* Familiarity with Git and modern source control practices.\n* Experience working within Agile software development environments.\n* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:\n\n* Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)\n* CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)\n* Docker and Kubernetes\n* OAuth, JWT, or enterprise authentication frameworks\n* Automated testing frameworks\n* DevSecOps practices\n* Enterprise application modernization projects\n* Government or other highly regulated enterprise environments\n\nWork Environment\n\n* Hybrid work schedule.\n* Onsite presence required approximately 75% of the time in Woodlawn, Maryland.\n* Full-time permanent opportunity.\n* No travel required.\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nThis role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact federal technology initiatives while working with modern development tools and enterprise-scale applications.
