The DM administers corporate policy as required, develop and implement long term employee development plans and objectives, provide technical and management leadership, assists staff in solving complex problems through technology, lessons learned, development of best practices, and drives all related efforts in the advancement toward technical and project execution excellence.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\nPlan, develop, coordinate, and direct team members to the successful completion of projects.\nCollaborate with senior management in coordinating work for projects.\nDetermine department technical staffing needs and collaborate with HR to recruit and interview candidates.\nMentor and develop team members using best practices, supportive behavior, and training tools.\nParticipate in planning, cost-development, project management and scheduling for assigned projects\nUse company work processes to provide quality checks and reviews of all assigned projects.\nManage quality and accuracy standards and review and approve completed technical deliverables.\nPerform technical analysis and solutions for complex or unique projects.\nSecure peer review to help guarantee quality products are produced per client, industry, and company expectations.\nUse scheduling and earned value tool(s) to help ensure forecasting is predictable and projects are completed on time and per budget.\nDevelop client rapport by providing valued technical and managerial solutions.\nMay serve as a project manager, project engineer or client manager for single discipline projects.\nTake an active role as needed in support of business development activities to keep team productive.\nProvide support and input for client proposals and presentations.\n\nEducation, Experience and Skills\nThe successful candidate will possess the following:\nBachelor of Science degree in Civil / Structural Engineering\n10+ years of engineering experience in structural/foundation design for metals, midstream oil/gas or other heavy industrial facilities. This includes structural steel and concrete design of buildings, cranes, and other supporting structures.\nWorking knowledge of Navisworks.\nLicensed as a Structural Engineer with the ability to register in other states as needed.\nProficiency in STAAD, TEDDS or equivalent analysis software.\nPrevious management experience preferred.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office.\nAnalytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.\nMultitasking and organizational abilities for project efficiency.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nThe characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
