Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities,\nrelated to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce\nproduct and process variability.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nAdhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that\nproduct quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may\nadversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.\n\nAdhere to all safety polices and procedures.\nKnowledge of TRM system.\nProperly setting-up, operating and adjustment of the case taper, case packer and case erector.\nEnsure the proper boxes are being used and the proper code is printed on them.\nValidation of proper palletizing pattern.\nEffectively communicating relevant information to fellow employees on the shift and to on coming employees at shift change.\nCommunicating all process inefficiencies, equipment malfunctions, safety concerns and GMP\nissues to the department Lead and/or Supervisor.\n\nGeneral cleaning of equipment and maintaining good housekeeping throughout the department\nper the daily sanitation checklist.\n\nFollow all Personal and Food Safety precautions: Personal Protective Equipment,\nLockout/Tagout, GMPs, follow Plant Color Code for Buckets, Brushes, etc.\n\nPrepare and mix chemicals according to SSOP directions and test for accuracy using titration\nmethod.\n\nBe able to measure chemical concentrations using a titration method.\nBe able to administer chemicals in a safe and efficient manner.\nBe able to operate CIP and COP cleaning equipment.\nDismantle and clean packaging and processing lines and equipment according to SSOP and\nmaster sanitation schedule.\n\nReassemble and test run equipment after cleaning in preparation for the next shift’s\nproduction\n\nPerform sanitation inspection on processing lines/equipment.\nCommunicate with Production, QA, and Sanitation Supervisors regarding sanitation issues.\nAccountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and\nprocedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.\n\nAdhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that\nproduct quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may\nadversely affect food safety and quality.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS:\nEDUCATION:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.\nEXPERIENCE:\nCOMMUNICATION SKILLS:\nIn order to promote a manufacturing environment that is safe and efficient for both personnel and food,\nthe ability to effectively communicate in basic English (both verbal and written) is required. This includes\nthe ability to speak, read and comprehend safety instructions, rules and warnings for self and others in\nboth normal and emergency situations.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS:\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write\nsimple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group\nsituations.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common\nfractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nREASONING ABILITY:\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only\nlimited standardization exists.
