Our team works on a wide range of project types including commercial, healthcare, higher education, technology, and mixed-use developments.\nAs a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to structural analysis, design development, and multidisciplinary coordination while working closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on both new construction and renovation projects, contributing to the design of structural systems that balance performance, constructability, and cost efficiency.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nPerform structural analysis and design for building systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems.\nPrepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and structural design documentation.\nDevelop structural drawings and coordinate models using Revit and BIM workflows.\nEvaluate and specify structural systems and materials appropriate to project requirements.\nCoordinate closely with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams to support integrated project delivery.\nSupport construction administration activities including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and participating in field observations.\nCommunicate design concepts and technical solutions with project teams and clients.\nUtilize industry-standard structural analysis software to support design development.\nWork collaboratively within project teams to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.\nContribute to the ongoing development of technical standards and design practices.\nYour Capabilities and Credentials\nStrong understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and applicable design standards.\nKnowledge of structural systems, seismic and wind design considerations, construction materials, and construction practices.\nAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.\nExperience with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM, or RISA.\nExperience using Revit for structural modeling and coordination preferred.\nExperience with seismic analysis or retrofit design is considered an asset.\nEducation and Experience\nMinimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience in building design or a related field.\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required.\nStructural Engineer (SE) license is considered an asset.\nExperience with general business software including Microsoft Office Suite.\nPrimary Location: United States | TX | Austin\nOrganization: 4010 Buildings-US ACQ PSP Austin BE-Austin TX\nEmployee Status: Regular\nBusiness Justification: New Position\nTravel: No\nSchedule: Full time\nJob Posting: 05/03/2026 07:03:48\nReq ID: 1004716\nStantec provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified employees and applicants for future and current employment and prohibit discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
