This position reports directly to the General Manager.\nTASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for all club and pickleball activity programming, including developing and promoting pickleball programs for all age groups.\nOrganize, schedule, administer and promote leagues, round robins, drop-in/open-play, ladders, social events, tournaments, lessons and all other pickleball programming.\nTeach private lessons, group lessons, clinics, intro programs, and player-development sessions at a high level.\nMaintain an active on-court presence during open play, leagues, tournaments, round robins, mixers, and club events.\nOrganize, schedule, and manage daily operation of 5-6 leagues/quarter or more.\nManage and monitor court schedules to maximize usage.\nPromote club memberships to all potential prospects\nResponsible for the supervision of the pickleball teaching professionals and coaches including scheduling pickleball clinics and private lessons.\nInitiate and execute the selection, hiring, coaching, mentoring, and educating of all pickleball personnel in a manner that reinforces the club’s values and philosophies and ensures the operation of the departments meet company standards.\nPost regularly to the local club PickleRage social media accounts, including updates to programming or events, livestreaming championship matches, and other imagery/posts highlighting play at the facility.\nConduct quarterly meetings with teaching professionals/coaches and club staff.\nImplement and stay current with new teaching techniques and receive certifications.\nEnsure that the environment is safe for all those who use the facility.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:\n4-year college degree preferred.\nExperience in a position such as Pro, Head Pro, Manager, or have served in an Assistant Director or Director position for pickleball, tennis, or other racquet sports or equivalent position\nTeaching certifications from PPR or equivalent is a plus\nCourt Reserve knowledge and experience a plus\nProficiency in posting on social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram\nExcellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening\nAbility to motivate, organize and lead others\nExperience creating, organizing, and executing leagues, tournaments, and sport related programming\nAbility to create and maintain a positive environment through interaction and communication with members, guests, and staff\nAbility to regularly work during operational hours including evenings, weekends, and select holidays pursuant with facility and industry demands.\nMust ensure on-call availability to respond to issues related to pickleball programs.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: Onsite at our PickleRage facility in Jacksonville, FL. Involves performing in a professional, sports-centric environment that includes court play, retain and member services.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to perform light maintenance work which may require climbing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the head and reaching forward. Occasionally climbs ladders.
