The story of our US-Ukraine connection started when Kevin met Dave. Days away from quitting his last "real" job as a seafood plant manager, Kevin reconnected with a long-lost friend from high school. Little did he know, this long-lost friend was dating his soon-to-be business partner. After meeting Dave through their mutual connection, it didn't take long for the two to start bouncing business ideas off each other. The flow of creativity soon grew into a business partnership that has withstood the test of time.

Into the Heart of the Ukrainian-Russian Conflict

Kevin and Dave formed a team of 20 Ukrainian developers and QA, with Igor as Lead Developer. When Russia invaded, Kevin, Dave and Robert worked together to get Igor and his family to safety in Poland. After a long and risky mission, Igor and his family were able to cross the border and return home to Lviv.

Job Overview

The Engineer Enterprise Systems North America is a role focused on the management of the retail client devices we operate in Circle K.

Most end user devices in Circle K are Windows 10 based laptops, managed by Active Directory and System Center Configuration Manager. We are moving towards co-management with SCCM and Intune, and Intune only soon.

Our goal is to deliver a best-in-class user experience to our users globally, while maintaining our standards and security stance. To achieve this ambition, we are actively standardizing our processes and configuration on a global level, to ensure the same experience in all regions. Collaboration with team members covering our scopes in the other regions is to key to achieve this, which means communication skills with people of various cultures is a must. We currently cover two main regions, North America, and Europe.

Client Device Administration work focuses on installation, configuration, and maintenance of organization devices software & hardware including:

* Meeting end business needs by ensuring the uptime, performance, resource availability, and security of the environment, within established budgets and operational guidelines.
* Acquiring, installing, and upgrading management systems hardware & software and planning for/responding to service outages and other problems.
* Overseeing maintenance of servers in scope and system updates.
* Automating routine tasks using scripting and writing basic computer programs to address more complex systems software configuration and enhancement.
* Responsible for training material and curriculum related to standards and use of organization management systems.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities

* Management of Operating Systems (Images, Security Patches, Upgrades, Anti-Virus)
* Design and change management for Active Directory (OU's, GPO's, service accounts, objects, and groups)
* Device Management, Test and deploy Operating system. Investigate escalated incidents related to clients
* Coordination of the process of Onboarding new Applications
* System Operator for SCCM (patching, upgrades, deployments)
* System Operator of Intune (patching, upgrades, deployments)
* Participate in projects that interfaces with our managed clients.
* Creating user documentation to other teams in the organization that uses our services
* Ensure incidents are analysed and resolved in a timely manner to minimize downtime to all clients.
* Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
* Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.

Knowledge and Skills

* Significant experience and knowledge of client management and configuration
* Basic knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager and Intune configuration and management
* Knowledge of client Security Tools and services
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.
* Effective influencing and negotiating skills in an environment in which this role may not directly control resources.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
* IT experience in an enterprise-level environment exhibiting demonstrated client management, relationship development, analytical and problem-solving skills, and end-to-end experience with methodologies.
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple changing and competing priorities.
* Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
* Microsoft Certifications a plus
