Our work informs safety mitigations, product decisions, and partnerships, ensuring OpenAI's tools are deployed securely and responsibly across critical sectors.\r\nAbout the Role\r\nAs a Technical Intelligence Analyst, you will produce scaled, rapid risk analysis to generate structured and decision-ready intelligence. You will design and support analytical workflows to help the team identify, validate, and prioritize risks. You will surface novel harms and abuse patterns using an ensemble of technical tools and discovery methods.\r\nIn addition, you will scale recurring intelligence workflows to help analysts prioritize information quickly and efficiently. You will help turn recurring intelligence workflows into reusable frameworks, dashboards, AI-assisted workflows, and rapid analysis tools. You will design and implement lightweight technical solutions to help analysts synthesize raw signals into actionable insights at greater scale.\r\nThis role is based in San Francisco, CA (hybrid, 3 days/week). Relocation support is available.\r\nIn this role, you will:\r\nDesign and maintain analytical tools, evaluation methodologies, and quality metrics for intelligence workflows.\r\nProvide structure and technical rigor to analyst-built prototypes, redesigning workflows to be generalizable across use cases.\r\nTransform recurring needs into reusable templates, notebooks, graders, and lightweight tools.\r\nSurface novel harms and abuse patterns across a range of ecosystems and behaviors.\r\nBuild rapid analysis workflows around emerging risks.\r\nDeliver, monitor, and maintain risk tools and dashboards.\r\nUse SQL, Python, and AI-powered tools to improve analysis speed, coverage, and consistency.\r\nYou might thrive in this role if you\r\nHave 3+ years of experience in technical intelligence, integrity, trust and safety, operational risk, or a related quantitative risk domain.\r\nAre strong in SQL and Python, including querying, organizing, and transforming complex datasets.\r\nHave delivered zero-to-one analyses and turned them into reusable playbooks, workflows, or lightweight tools.\r\nHave experience with anomaly detection tools, such as PyOD, and discovery processes for surfacing novel or low-prevalence patterns.\r\nLearn new systems, processes, datasets, and team dynamics quickly.\r\nThrive in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.\r\nCommunicate findings clearly, including evidence, uncertainty, limitations, and trade-offs.\r\nNice to have: technical knowledge of AI systems, experience building graders, classifiers, or analytical scorecards.\r\nAbout OpenAI\r\nOpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
