Senior Buyer - IT Procurement

The Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Procurement, you will develop supplier contracts and supplier relationships that maximize value and minimize risk for the Qurate Retail Group’s global businesses. As a global partner, you will identify potential suppliers, prepare Request for Proposals, and conduct negotiations on all contracts relating to the IT categories, across all business under the QRG umbrella. You will impact eCommerce and Video Commerce by identifying platforms and tools that increase our streaming and digital media services. Our Procurement team’s primary focus is to support QRG’s goals by managing the procurement process and supply base. The team has high standards for quality, cost, value and reliability. We work with internal clients and external partners to identify suppliers that offer the best service Your Impact Develop the procurement strategy for assigned commodities to help determine the best practice for the assigned commodities and will help to lead Total Procurement Value across the organization. Partner with Qurate Retail Group’s global internal clients to help negotiate, renegotiate and administer contracts with external suppliers Develop relationships with business partners across the Qurate Retail Group’s global businesses. Evaluate current suppliers and develop new suppliers based on quality, service, reliability, price, innovation, and value-added capabilities, as well as the supplier's reputation and history. Manage existing contracts for all commodities within scope to ensure perceived value is being realized. Evaluate strategies based on changing market conditions and provide input during necessary sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis, and negotiations for all categories in scope. Communicate market dynamics to Procurement Leadership Team, Category Leaders, and Department Leaders ensuring agreement of category strategies. What You Bring Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of procurement/strategic sourcing experience in IT Software specific categories. 3+ years’ experience leading contracts across all categories (Hardware, Software, Support & Services) including knowledge of software licensing agreements, SaaS agreements and negotiations. 3+ years’ experience leading the procurement lifecycle. 1+ year experience supporting digital media and streaming services, preferred. Working knowledge of eProcurement systems and advanced reporting tools.
