This role ensures that all facilities—including production areas, warehouses, grounds, interior spaces, overhead doors, and material‑handling structures—are properly maintained to support AAON’s high‑volume HVAC manufacturing operations.\n\nPrimary Duties\n\nLeads daily facility operations across multiple AAON buildings, including manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments.\nEnsures facilities remain clean, organized, and safe in support of HVAC manufacturing production lines.\nOversees general facility maintenance such as structural repairs, interior finishes, grounds upkeep, racking inspections, and overhead door functionality.\nPlans, coordinates, and executes small facility improvement and renovation projects.\nManages custodial services and cleanup teams to maintain production readiness.\nConducts regular facility inspections, identifies hazards, and partners with Safety to ensure regulatory compliance.\nCoordinates external vendors performing non‑mechanical facility services.\nSupports space planning, layout changes, and furniture moves.\n Oversees work order intake, prioritization, and completion.\nAssists in budgeting and cost‑efficient facility operations.\n Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.\nAbility to exercise sound judgment and effective problem solving in routine and unexpected facility situations.\nCapacity to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks and teams.\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and respond promptly to facility related issues.\n\nEffective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, leadership, and vendors\n\nJob Requirements\nRequires a high school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years of experience in facility operations, building maintenance, or custodial/facility services supervision; experience leading teams across multiple buildings in an industrial or manufacturing environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.\nPreferred:\nExperience supporting high volume manufacturing facilities or large, multi building campuses.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\nKnowledge of general facility maintenance practices, building systems, and industrial safety standards.\nAbility to lead and develop teams in a fast paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to resolve facility issues efficiently.\nAbility to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks and competing demands.\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing operational needs and respond promptly to facility related issues.\n\nEssential Mental and Physical Functions:\n\nFrequent walking of manufacturing floors.\nRegular bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting.\n\nEffective communication with teams and vendors.\nWork Environment:\n\n Onsite across multiple AAON manufacturing facilities.\nExposure to noise, moving machinery, extreme temperatures, and airborne particles.\n Requires PPE and adherence to AAON safety protocols.\n\nDisclaimer:\n\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
