The role of process code engineer is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing execution to fabricate and deliver compound semiconductor wafers to internal, DoD, or external customers.\nThe ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of semiconductor tools, processing techniques, microelectronic circuit testing, and circuit design with individual expertise in one or more of these areas. The candidate will use statistical process control methods and lean manufacturing methods to reduce rework and scrap and increase efficiency in the process line. The ability to work well in small, cross‑functional teams is essential.\nResponsibilities High degree of hands‑on engineering work with presence on the manufacturing floor (fab cleanroom)\nDispositioning wafers (critical thinking to determine scrap, rework, accept)\nReviewing in‑line electrical data trends and process control metrics\nInvestigating scrap and rework events with root cause tools and approaches\nMaintaining technical documentation (recipes, out‑of‑control action plans, FMEAs)\nCollaborating with the operations, quality, and engineering staff in dynamic team settings\nManaging changing projects and priorities depending on the nature of the problems and the commitments to customers or other project leads\nQualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).\nA minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience with semiconductor processing tools and techniques including photolithography, wet and dry etching, metals evaporation, metrology tools, and/or automated inspection systems.\nExperience with semiconductor device structures, their electrical characteristics & manufacturing execution systems.\nExperience in statistical process control and lean manufacturing methods.\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.\nU.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications Understanding of III‑V compound semiconductor devices particularly Gallium Nitride and Gallium Arsenide HEMTs and SLS IR detectors.\nExperience with characterizing, understanding, and improving semiconductor device quality and reliability.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas and data effectively.\nAbility to lead and coordinate technical projects with cross‑functional teams.\nBenefits The salary range for this role is $68,900 USD - $131,100 USD.\nHired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.\nHired applicants may be eligible for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.
