Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
Hours: full time hours, flexible schedule (some weekends/evenings required)
Setting: inpatient, residential center
Patient Population: adolescents 12-18 years old
Requirements:
Licensed or Certified as a CSAC in the state of Virginia
Master’s Degree and licensure (LSATP, LMHP), or LMHP-e a plus
Strong working knowledge of drug policy and drug screening techniques
Strong working knowledge of the ASAM Assessment Criteria.
Experience assessing treatment needs to deliver appropriate interventions
Experience working with residents, parents, and staff members
Strong clinical writing skills to meet requirements of DBHDS client record reviews
Experience designing and implementing substance abuse programs for residents
Ability to meet resident’s needs as scheduled
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
