This position is expected to operate out of our Houston office. The Interface Engineer will report directly to the General Manager of IHC America.\nAfter a comprehensive international introduction period, you will become a member of the project team within IHC. These projects are typically ran at a partner build location, which is why clear communication with the site is paramount.\nIn this role, you will be expected to:\nActing as the IHC representative to the yard, customer and other approval bodies\nPreparing and supporting the logistics process as regards to the building location\nSupervising and checking the quality of local engineering\nServing as the interface between IHC Engineering and the building location\nMonitoring and directing the project as regards to project planning\nCorresponding and maintaining contact with the site\nConducting site inspections during the design and production phases\nMonitoring compliance with HSEQ rules and guidelines\nAssisting the yard in commissioning trials\nSupport local sales team with technical back-up\nProactively engage with local suppliers\nQuote projects and negotiate\nWork with industry experts domestic and abroad to resolve technical issues while working with customers\nObtain ongoing training on both functional and technical skills\nAbout IHC Americas:\nIHC America is part of Royal IHC (IHC), a global market leader in the construction of specialized ships for wet mining and dredging activities, and an important player in the field of complex custom-built offshore ships.
