Whether it’s supporting law firms with critical document production or helping financial institutions manage high-volume print and digital communications, we’re the behind-the-scenes team making everything run smoothly\r\nJob Description 2nd shift, Hybrid: Saturday-Tuesday 1pm-12am; On-site only on Tuesday.\r\nThis position qualifies for an additional $1.75/hour shift differential.\r\nThe Proofreader position is responsible for reviewing legal documents for grammar and verbiage corrections.\r\nIdentify and correct spelling, grammar, and verbiage errors in complex legal documents.\r\nDetect formatting and compositional errors in documents.\r\nCheck corrected proofs of legal documents against mark-up for comparison and quality assurance.\r\nAssist the Document Services team with document production and preparation as needed.\r\nHandle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.\r\nCommunicate with manager and client on job or deadline issues.\r\nAdhere to Williams Lea policy in addition to client site policy.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned\r\nQualifications Bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism preferred or equivalent work experience required.\r\nMinimum (1) year proofreading experience preferably in a legal, banking or large corporate environment\r\nIntermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired.\r\nKnowledge of a legal timekeeping or job tracking system is preferred.\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, team environment.\r\nStrong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.\r\nAbility to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.\r\nMust have good organizational skills\r\nAbility to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information\r\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\r\nAbility to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing\r\nMust be self-motivated with a positive attitude\r\nProven customer service skills are required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships\r\nAdditional Information The salary for this role at the noted RRD location is $16.59/hour to $22.50/hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
