This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate coding, compliance, and provider education across a variety of clinical settings.\nPrimary duties for this position include but are not limited to:\nAssign appropriate CPT and ICD-10-CM codes and determine the correct level of service for consults, office calls, hospital visits and surgery.\nEnsure diagnoses and procedures are accurately selected and properly sequenced.\nVerify that all claims are supported by complete and appropriate clinical documentation.\nMeet periodically with providers to review coding trends, answer questions, and provide education or training as needed\nConduct internal coding audits upon request and assist with presenting audit findings to providers and leadership\nQualifications:\nCurrent coding certification required\n3-5 years of coding experience preferred.\nStrong commitment to patient care and teamwork.\nExcellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.\nProficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.\nThorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.\nWhy Join PCI?\nCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits.\nNo nights or weekends.\nPaid holidays and a generous paid time off program.\nSupportive, team-oriented work environment focused on quality and compassion in patient care.\nPCI is E.O.E.
