This role serves as the primary technical support during weekend operations, quickly diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions to keep manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently.\nThis position is scheduled for the weekend shift, Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Occasional first-shift hours will be required for training.\nThis position reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager.\nAccording to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:\nNon-Exempt\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact in a production setting. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.\nKey Responsibilities\nInstall, maintain, and support instruments and control systems used in industrial manufacturing processes\nWork with sensors, control valves, actuators, PLCs, HMIs, motion control systems, and related automation equipment\nTroubleshooting and Repair:\nProvide real-time troubleshooting and repair of electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems on production equipment\nDiagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, sensor, motion control, and electrical issues\nRespond to equipment work requests with urgency to ensure maximum uptime and overall equipment effectiveness\nPerform root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions\nSupport rework efforts by diagnosing nonconforming product and implementing corrective actions to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield\nProduction Support and Continuous Improvement:\nSupport manufacturing lines to minimize downtime and maintain production targets\nAssist in preventive and predictive maintenance activities\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability, throughput, and yield\nAssist in commissioning new equipment and validating process changes\nDocumentation and Compliance:\nDocument troubleshooting steps, repairs, and improvements in maintenance management systems\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and applicable electrical codes\nCollaboration and Communication:\nCollaborate with engineers, operators, maintenance, quality, and other stakeholders to optimize control strategies and equipment performance\nInstallation and Maintenance:\nCommunicate effectively to coordinate maintenance activities, share knowledge, and address operational challenges\nWhat You Bring to the Table\nTo perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities.\nRequired\n\n3+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment\nAssociate’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field\nMicrosoft Office Suite Experience, including experience logging and communicating data through Excel spreadsheets\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams\nStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts\nAbility to prioritize multiple issues in a fast-paced environment\nSense of urgency and ownership\nPreferred\nExperience in high-volume manufacturing environments\nHands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)\nExperience with CMMS software such as Mpulse or EPAC\nFamiliarity of Banner product\nLean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience\n\nWhat to Expect at Work\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
