You’ll work closely with Designers, Engineers, and Production teams to help bring projects from idea to reality.You’llCreate 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorksAssist in translating design intent into fabrication-ready documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Project Management, and ProductionLearn and apply fabrication methods, materials, and industry standardsSupport project teams in solving technical challenges during design and productionContribute to maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency across deliverablesWhat We’re Really Looking ForThis role is ideal for someone early in their career who sits between Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering.You Might Be a Great Fit If YouHave a foundational understanding of how things are built in the physical worldAppreciate design aesthetics, but also enjoy the technical side of making things realAre interested in working on experiential or built environment projects (exhibits, environments, retail, themed experiences, etc.)Want to grow your skills in both design thinking and technical executionQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field3–5 years of relevant experience (internships or project work included)Technically proficient at an advanced level with SolidWorks, including top-down or in-context modelingTechnically proficient in Adobe Create Suite, specifically Adobe IllustratorExposure to fabrication methods (wood, metal, plastics, etc.)Strong attention to detail and willingness to learnAbility to read and interpret drawings (architectural or mechanical is a plus)Strong communication and collaboration skillsNice To HaveExperience with Rhino, Grasshopper, or Adobe IllustratorInterest in experiential design, exhibits, or themed environmentsWhy DI?You’ll work on projects that don’t fit neatly into a box—combining storytelling, design, and fabrication to create something truly unique.
