It is responsible for assisting with project coordination of materials, schedules, project close and site readiness. The position also works in the field to complete projects and assist with On-the-Job Training (OJT) of field personnel. This is a hybrid role between field work and project management to develop the skills required to manage multiple projects in the future. As a hybrid function this role serves as the \"eyes\" of the project to communicate progress and potential issues. The Assistant Project Manager interfaces with project management, estimating and the field personnel to improve the planning and execution of projects to achieve performance targets.\r\nRepresent NCS with professionalism and integrity\r\nAssist with the scheduling of field resources to meet project requirements established by the PM and Client POC\r\nMonitor/manage changes to schedules as circumstances dictate\r\nAssist in the generation of material requisitions for established Bill of Materials requirements\r\nAligns tasks with material availability to ensure project schedule expectations\r\nEvaluates material inventory to support project schedules\r\nCreates final as built mark ups to provide for creating final customer drawing package for assigned projects\r\nPrepares the project close out package with the project administrator for customer sign-off\r\nEvaluates site readiness for execution of project task schedules\r\nCoordinates site access and badging of personnel\r\nCoordinates availability of testing and/or other specialized equipment to meet project schedules\r\nMaintains and ensures project/site quality levels and NCS expectations are achieved\r\nConducts project task execution\r\nAssist in developing field skills development with coaching and hands on OJT with field personnel\r\nAssist in skills training during onboarding of new employees as requested\r\nProvide daily status report as required\r\nAttend site meetings and walk throughs as requested to interact effectively with customers/ contractors\r\nFollow NCS procedures and policies\r\nWork effectively in team environment\r\nPerform all functions of the position and other duties that may be assigned\r\nEssential duties and responsibilities may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics.\r\nKey Performance Indicators Responsibilities Resource management (people, materials, equipment)\r\nProject As Built Mark Up Field Skills Development\r\nAccountabilities/Performance Measurements Material Budget to Actual\r\nProject Close Out\r\nCustomer Sign-off\r\nQuality\r\nSafety\r\nSkill Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED)\r\nMinimum 5 of years' experience working in construction, industrial or related blue-collar industry with proven record of achievement. 2 years' experience working at NCS preferred\r\nAbility to learn new software as Ability to use MS Office a benefit\r\nAbility to use mobile applications\r\nCurrent, valid driver's license with clean driving record\r\nAbility to travel if required\r\nAuthorized to work in the United States\r\nExcellent verbal communication and good written skills\r\nDemonstrated problem solving skills\r\nSubmit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen\r\nPhysical Demands and Working Conditions The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.
