They maintain confidential student records, provide college and career planning support, assist with standardized testing, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and the child study team to address student needs. The counselor also aids in student registration, orientation, curriculum planning, dropout prevention, and transition programs, while promoting continuous professional growth and making effective use of community resources.Qualifications: *NJ certification as School Counselor required *Master's or higher degree from a regionally accredited 4-year college/university required *Broad knowledge of testing and evaluation, theories of individual and group guidance techniques, and guidance conflict resolution *Counseling and teaching experience preferred *Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff and community groups and organizationsStarting Salary: $64,000.Benefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision.Health Benefits - Payroll - Millville Public SchoolsBenefits Waiver (optional)* Paid Time Off* (12) Sick Days and (3) Personal Days annually.
