You have an opportunity to personally thrive, make a difference and be part of a culture where individuality is noticed and valued every day.\n\nApplication Development & Support Engineer III\nAbout the Role\n\nConduent is seeking an Application Development & Support Engineer to inspire and lead technical teams to build cutting-edge solutions and proactively bring new ideas, technologies, and methodologies to the table.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nParticipate in complete software product lifecycle encompassing requirements analysis, prototyping, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment\nDevelopment using Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.\nCloud focus development (Containerization).\nSolve complex software system issues.\nTroubleshooting design flaws and system bottlenecks.\nAssisting the software design team with application integration\nSupport and troubleshoot system performance test findings.\nIndependently troubleshoot problems and identify the likely root causes for Sev1/Sev2 production issues\nTest-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD)\nData Model design and implementation for solutions from high level requirement\nProvide technical guidance and engineering best practices within development teams\nDevelop Micro services.\nEffectively work with remote technical leaders in designs and developing robust solutions.\nProactive in identifying and escalating potential risks and impediments and coming up with alternative solutions\nOwning and promoting the product releases to the production.\nUp to 25% travel\nRequirements\n\n8 – 12 years of total experience, with at least 4 years of Technical Lead roles.\nStrong technical leadership in applying object-oriented principles and recommended design patterns to create robust and scalable system designs\nEffectively work with remote technical leaders in designs and developing robust solutions\nStrong experience developing web applications on the Java platform (Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Rest full Web Services, JavaScript development (Angular preferred), Flyway).\nExperience in developing Micro services\nStrong knowledge of RDBMS and experience working with SQL Server/Oracle and No SQL including writing complex join queries and SQL query tuning.\nExperience in writing unit testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g. MOQ)\nExperience with DevOps Tools like Jenkins/XL Deploy\nExperience in conducting design and code reviews\n\nNice to have Skills\n\nAbility to pick up new technologies\nSolid written and verbal communication skills\nPassionate about technology and results driven\nAzure or AWS any cloud experience\nShell Scripts or Bash scripts.\nBasic network and architecture understanding\nPreferred experience in payment processing industry\nLinux OS understanding and experience in Shell scripting\nAI tooling proficiency eg: using AI tools for effective development and unit testing.\n\nEducation:\n\nBachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
