As a key member of our cloud migration team, you will lead and guide cross-functional teams to ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective migration of our IT infrastructure and applications to the cloud. This role will be pivotal in driving our clients’ transitions to the cloud, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and innovation.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nLead, manage, and execute multiple cloud migration work streams simultaneously.\nDevelop and implement comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.\nAnalyze dependencies between work streams and identify and mitigate potential risks.\nOversee and coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, architects, data engineers, and other stakeholders.\nMonitor progress against plans and make adjustments as needed; ensure timely completion of project deliverables within budget constraints.\nManage communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including technical teams, business units, and senior management.\nProvide technical guidance and expertise to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.\nIdentify and mitigate technical risks and challenges that may arise during migration.\nCollaborate with cloud architects to design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions.\nStay current on the latest cloud technologies and trends.\nIdentify opportunities for automation and optimization within the cloud migration process.\nProactively identify and address challenges and roadblocks.\nAnalyze project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements to enhance future migrations.\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\n\n7+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in the IT field.\n5+ years of experience with cloud migration projects.\nExperience in migrating legacy applications to the cloud.\nExperience with data migration and analytics technologies.\nKnowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines\nExperience running agile ceremonies (user story grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, story point estimation, etc) or serving as a scrum master\nProven track record of successfully leading and managing complex technical projects.\nStrong technical knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nExcellent program management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.\nStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate technical and non-technical audiences.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.\nProven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).\nPMP certification (highly desired).\nCloud certifications (GCP, AWS)\nIt is the policy of Onix to ensure equal employment opportunity in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code 125.111 and all applicable federal regulations and guidelines.
