Our cutting-edge Modular brand solutions are powering mines worldwide, driving efficiency and sustainability in ways that seemed impossible just years ago.\nThe Company\nJob Purpose\nThe Engineering Change Coordinator/Component Engineer is responsible for coordinating technical documentation releases into SAP, MS SharePoint, and other business systems, in addition to maintaining revision control of all related information. Will coordinate with cross functional departments including engineering, marketing, quality, finance and operations in order to drive the engineering change process to completion in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner.\nTravel Requirements\nUp to 25%\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nUtilize the SAP, MS SharePoint, and other business systems to input and maintain all documentation.\nMaintain documentation creation, release and maintenance of products; creating part numbers, releasing approved ECOs / documents to operations, maintaining of PD controlled documents.\nSupport product development design resources in selecting, specifying, and qualifying purchased components.\nMaintain the availability and suitability of active purchased components by proactively mitigating obsolescence/lead time issues.\nWork with various departments on implementation of ECO’s after they are completed.\nCreate and maintain engineering BOMs in SAP with data provided by design engineers.\nTrack and maintain open ECOs via weekly meetings and reports.\nCreate and maintain Source Control Drawings (SCD’s) via input of data and graphics into the ‘SCD database’ to enable Engineering and Purchasing to procure parts.\nAssist design engineers in the determination/selection of components, and ensure vendor availability to meet time, price and quantity requirements for availability in products and/or systems.\nRequired Skills\nMinimum 4 years document control experience and component sourcing\nMinimum 2 years’ experience writing/processing ECOs\nExperience with engineering records or change\nmanagement\nProficiency in SAP, and MS SharePoint\nUnderstanding of electronic and electromechanical hardware terminology\nDesired Skills\n4 year Degree in electronics or related field is preferred.\n\nDiversity & Inclusion Commitment\nAt Komatsu we come from diverse backgrounds, with unique perspectives, experiences, and contributions.
