Assembler
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling components and products efficiently and accurately within a fast-paced factory environment. This role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hand and power tools, and experience working on assembly lines or in manufacturing facilities. The Assembler will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and supporting production goals.
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Shift: Monday – Friday | 6 AM – 2:30 PM
Duties
Assembly & Production
Read and interpret work orders, assembly drawings, schematics, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions
Position, align, and secure parts using jigs, fixtures, and holding devices
Assemble electronic components using methods such as crimping, soldering, staking, riveting, welding, bolting, press-fitting, and epoxy bonding
Mount components onto circuit boards, units, racks, cases, and cabinets
Install polarized and non-polarized components in designated locations
Assemble hardware, including caps, clamps, knobs, switches, and connectors
Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulation, sanding, cleaning, curing, stamping, etching, and color-coding
Inspection, Testing & Quality
Perform in-process inspection and go/no-go testing to ensure compliance with specifications
Inspect SMT and PTH solder joints for nonconforming defects
Detect, document, and enter defect codes into shop floor control systems
Perform basic touch-up, removal, and rework as needed
Collect and record data using SPC charts
Complete documentation for conforming and nonconforming materials
Systems & Advanced Assembly (Higher-Level Roles)
Assemble complex systems by wiring and integrating multiple subassemblies and nodes into large rack systems
Install multi-level subassemblies using complex configurations
Load boards onto pallets and prepare setup kits for incoming shifts
Equipment & Process Support
Set up workstations with correct documentation, tools, and components
Operate and tend machines used to press, shape, or wind component parts
Perform basic preventive maintenance on production line equipment
Assist with light physical tasks such as changing conveyor widths
Requirements
1 year of previous assembly or manufacturing experience
Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with assembly line processes are highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a team setting within a manufacturing facility.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift 20 pounds.
