Director of Geotechnical Engineering
Qualifications/Requirements Active PE License
Experience in North and/or Central Texas
Experience in TxDOT geotechnical projects is a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Minimum 5 years of geotechnical group management
Ability to engage in relevant dialogue with clients
Successfully work with minimal supervision
Lead, coach, and mentor junior professional staff
Ability to organize logically and manage time effectively
Eagerly seek new challenges
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will also possess proven group management skills (minimum 5 years). This position will reside in our Dallas-Fort Worth location.
Manage a team of Geotechnical PE's and EIT's on a scope of different projects.
Identify Business Development opportunities
Prepare engineering reports that provide practical geotechnical solutions
Develop and manage projects (scope, schedule, budget)
Perform and review engineering calculations, such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seepage
Conduct geotechnical field investigations
Other duties as required
Physical Demands: Ability to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, lifting, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.)
Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
Ability to work overtime as needed
