Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. Nightwing is seeking a motivated network engineer to implement, maintain and support the lab network infrastructure.\r\nResponsibilities Leverage advanced analytical and technical skills to design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision-making.\r\nSupport the integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments, including development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.\r\nAssess network topology and device configurations, identify critical security vulnerabilities, and recommend security best practices.\r\nProvide user support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix, as well as MacOS and iOS platforms.\r\nTroubleshoot and resolve a broad range of technical issues, from basic to complex network problems.\r\nImplement granular access controls, monitor system performance and accessibility, establish and maintain backup protocols, and ensure system security.\r\nDiagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks, including replication strategy support and remediation of storage-related incidents.\r\nDesign, build, and maintain robust network environments by configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as updating network devices and performing IP address audits.\r\nEnsure optimal network performance by troubleshooting issues, enforcing system standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize infrastructure.\r\nSecure network systems through policy enforcement, access controls, and continuous monitoring.\r\nRequired Skills U.S. Citizenship\r\nMust have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred\r\nMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability\r\n5+ years of directly relevant experience in network administration\r\nProficiency with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix and MacOS\r\nStrong knowledge and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs\r\nExperience and knowledge of networking and network administration\r\nSkilled in working with virtual desktop environments (Citrix, VMware)\r\nMust be able to work collaboratively across physical locations\r\nDesired Skills Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches\r\nExperience with converged infrastructure solutions (e.g., FlexPod) and NetApp storage systems\r\nProficiency with Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation/optimization\r\nStrong documentation skills for technical procedures and SOPs\r\nCapable of creating and maintaining network diagrams\r\nDemonstrated experience in network design, implementation, and performance tuning\r\nProject management capabilities and excellent time-management skills\r\nExpertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced security\r\nRequired Education BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7+ years network administration, network engineering or systems administration experience.\r\nDesired Certifications DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II\r\nNetwork+\r\nCCNA Syndeo: ESS-3611\r\nNightwing is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
