Quality and Hygiene Manager
A leading manufacturer in the consumer goods sector is seeking a Quality & Hygiene Manager to lead food safety, quality systems, and hygiene programs within a manufacturing environment. This role will focus heavily on the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of GMP and HACCP programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the implementation and continuous improvement of GMP, HACCP, and hygiene programs across the siteDrive food safety and quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirementsDevelop, maintain, and improve quality systems, procedures, and documentationPartner closely with operations to embed quality and hygiene practices into daily production activitiesConduct risk assessments, investigations, and corrective actions related to quality or food safety issuesMonitor key quality and hygiene performance metrics; analyze trends and drive continuous improvement actionsOversee environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, and hygienic practices to minimize contamination risksLead internal audits and support external audits (regulatory, customer, and third-party)Train and develop site teams on GMP, HACCP, and hygiene best practicesCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure quality standards are metQualificationsBachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred5+ years of experience in quality/food safety within a manufacturing environmentStrong hands-on experience with GMP and HACCP implementation (not just maintenance)Background in the food industry is preferredExperience with audits, regulatory compliance, and food safety systemsStrong ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience with environmental monitoring or hygiene-focused programsExposure to GFSI standards (SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000, etc.)Experience leading training or building site-level quality culture
