You will drive architectural decisions for developer experience, partner integrations & extensibility across our banking platform, ensuring security, scalability, and modern user experiences. This is a technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in integrations, user experience and scalable platforms.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nExecute Candescent’s identity vision aligned with product and platform strategy.\n\nPartner with Product and Engineering to design secure, compliant, and scalable offerings.\n\nLead architecture, design, and implementation of market leading developer and marketplace experiences.\n\nCollaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver seamless, secure experiences.\n\nEnsure compliance with regulatory and industry standards for financial services.\n\nProvide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive best practices in secure identity management.\n\nRequirements\nExperience\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.\n\n12+ years in the tech industry, focusing on developer tools, platforms, APIs, and SaaS, with product integration through portals.\n\n5+ years in technical leadership, working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, docs, etc.).\n\nProven track record in building developer portals, API platforms, or developer ecosystems.\n\nExperience working with clients, professional services, or external developers (e.g., partners, open-source communities).\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nDeep knowledge of API design principles (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and documentation standards (OpenAPI, Swagger).\n\nFamiliarity with developer experience best practices: SDKs, toolkits, simulators, quick starts, tutorials, etc.\n\nFamiliarity with UI design systems and UI frameworks ex: React Js or Next Js.\n\nExperience with CI/CD, DevOps tools, or API lifecycle management (e.g., Postman, Apigee).\n\nProficient in web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, Python, etc.).\n\nFamiliar with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure).\n\nCommunication\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external communications.\n\nAbility to promote developer tools and act as a bridge between Candescent and developer communities.\n\nExperience with community-building, hackathons, and developer outreach programs is a plus.\n\nStrategic & Leadership Skills\n\nAbility to define and guide a vision and roadmap for developer experience.\n\nExperience setting and tracking KPIs and metrics for developer engagement, portal adoption, or API usage.\n\nSkilled in aligning with internal teams (engineering, product, marketing, support) to meet client and vendor needs.\n\nStrong understanding of the developer ecosystem, trends, and competitive landscape.\n\nStatement to Third Party Agencies\nTo ALL recruitment agencies: Candescent only accepts resumes from agencies on the preferred supplier list.
