Learn more about our benefits .\nRole Responsibilities\nManage and perform manufacturing engineering and repair activities for Applied Material's new repair center in Chandler, AZ.\nDesign and improve facility layouts, material flow, and ergonomics\nConduct time and motion studies, simulations, and data analysis to streamline workflows\nKnowledge of should costing process\nTool Utility Metrix (Tools details for installation & commissioning)\nClean room specs and applications\nImplement lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement initiatives\nEstimate production costs and evaluate cost-saving methods\nUtilize CAD tools to design layouts and optimize space utilization\nLead improvement projects, set timelines, and manage budgets\nFixed assets inventory management\nDevelop and execute project plans, ensuring successful delivery from planning through implementation.\nTrack and drive project deliverables using reports, tracking tools, and checklists.\nCoordinate cross-functional resources within the business unit to achieve on-time and within-budget project performance.\nMonitor project cost performance and provide regular updates to the business unit.\nParticipate in cross-functional design teams to support technical project execution and contribute to overall team development.\nIdentify and analyze project risks, obstacles, and root causes; implement solutions to resolve issues effectively.\nMaintain and improve process performance metrics, including tracking matrices to support continuous improvement initiatives.\nAct as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced team members; may lead small to medium-sized projects.\nCommunicate complex or sensitive technical information clearly and build alignment across stakeholders.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; advanced degree (MS/MBA) preferred.\n4–7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, repair operations, or a related field.\nStrong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and lean principles.\nProficiency in CAD, statistical analysis tools, and MS Office.\nExcellent communication, teamwork, and project management abilities\nDemonstrated ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and performance tracking.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.\nProven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.\nExperience working cross-functionally and coordinating resources across teams.\nKnowledge of industry best practices and awareness of market/competitive factors.\nStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.\nAbility to work independently within broad guidelines while driving results across multiple stakeholders.\nAdditional Information\nTime Type:\nFull time\nEmployee Type:\nAssignee / Regular\nTravel:\nNo\nRelocation Eligible:\nNo\nThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
