The Mechanical Engineer has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop mechanical design and drafting skills, including basic machining knowledge as applicable. Be key focus and provide expertise on new product introduction.\nDevelop electromechanical skills to include understanding and use of switches and sensors, application and measurement of mechanical load and position.\nComplete appropriate test documentation and certifying to test results.\nExperience with hydraulic or pneumatic equipment and techniques.\nOther duties may also be assigned.\n\nOther Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\n\nGood written and verbal communication skills are required\nInterface with a variety of team members in a dynamic environment\nProvide written documentation to support equipment functions.\nSelf-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough.\nStrong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and networking skills are required.\nTeam attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.\nAbility to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.\nLeadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate work to subordinates, and the ability to evaluate and positively influence performance.\nHave exceptionally high level of commitment to the success of individuals and overall projects.\nBe willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed.\nComputer Skills: Proficient in use of typical MRP system software, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project.\nRequirements:\n\nEducation / Experience Requirements:\n\nBachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar field from a four-year college or university, and 2 - 3 years of working experience in the aerospace industry.\nAviation component repair or manufacturing experience a plus.\nMust have familiarity with standard Microsoft office suite.\nMust be able to generate and update CAD models and drawings using Solidworks and / or Inventor programs.\nNI / Labview experience, electrical aptitude, military, and aerospace industry experience are all a plus.\n\nOther Qualifications:\n\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
