Payroll Assistant – Construction Payroll (Plano, TX )A growing construction organization is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support weekly payroll operations for union and non-union craft employees. This role is ideal for someone with construction payroll experience and strong knowledge of prevailing wage and certified payroll processes. This will be a temp to hire contract with a pay range of $21-$27 per hour, commensurate with experience. In office Monday through Friday.ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payroll and timekeeping dataMaintain accurate job cost coding, classifications, overtime, and shift differentialsPrepare certified payroll reports (WH-347)Support union payroll reporting, wage/fringe updates, and complianceAssist with OCIP/CCIP reporting and reconciliationsMaintain payroll records and support auditsPartner with HR, Accounting, and Operations to resolve payroll issuesQualifications2+ years of construction payroll experienceExperience with union payroll, prevailing wages, and certified payroll reportingStrong Excel and payroll system skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage deadlinesExcellent communication and organizational skillsPreferredCPP certification or accounting courseworkExperience with ERP/payroll systems in construction environments
