Other duties may be assigned.\nFormulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.\nUpdates and maintains the Quality Management System\nPerforms quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.\nReviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.\nMaintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.\nInterprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.\nDevelops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.\nPlans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or components.\nApplies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.\nDecides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor\nDevelops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.\nKeeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.\nPrepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.\nDirects workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.\nDesigns and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.\nDevelop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufactured products.\nServe as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisors for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.\nSupport concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer.\nDesign and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection. Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports. Develop and execute corrective/preventative actions.\nReview customer purchase orders, contracts, change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans. Establish supplier quality requirements.\nDevelop, execute and analyze quality reporting measures.\nConducts internal and external quality audits.\nInterface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and ensure that corrective action is implemented.\nPrepare Production Port Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.\nServe as the Quality Assurance representative to the Materials Review Board (MRB).\nCompile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nSupervise 2-6 hourly Quality Auditors and Lab Technicians. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
